The government recognises that those from an ethnic minority background have been disproportionately affected, the government has taken action to support these groups at each stage of its COVID-19 response. The government acknowledges that socio- economic factors have an important impact on the overall health and wellbeing of our people and forward proposals have been made in the ‘Levelling Up the United Kingdom’ white paper.
