The Urology Services Inquiry published its final report on Wednesday 24 June, concluding the Northern Ireland inquiry chaired by Christine Smith KC into urology services in the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. The Health Minister acknowledged the report on publication day; no full departmental response is yet on the record. It follows the Muckamore Abbey Hospital Inquiry report the previous week, leaving two Northern Ireland health inquiries awaiting formal responses.
On the same day the Grooming Gangs Inquiry announced its first local investigations, naming Oldham, Bradford and Keighley, and London, and published the outline of scope for its national accountability hearings, which it expects to begin at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027.
