Investigation and Inquest
On 6th December 2013 commenced an investigation into the death of Kenneth John PAUL, age 61. The investigation concluded at the end of the inquest on 22nd July 2014. The conclusion of the inquest was ACCIDENT
Circumstances of the Death
Kenneth Paul was a man with a number of medical problems_ In particular; he had impairment of his peripheral vision and unsteadiness of his due to strokes affecting the left side of his body. Shortly before 11am on the morning of 29/h November 2013 he left his home at as he did most His usual practice was to walk diagonally across Hallgate to the side opposite his house on his way into the town centre. a UPS driver, had just collected parcels Stukeley Road, at its junction with Hallgate. He then reversed along Hallgate Road towards the town centre for a distance of around 25 metres, intending to turn left into Church Road. During that traverse, probably at the beginning of it,his vehicle travelled over Mr Paul. It is not known whether or not Mr Paul was upright or prone when the rear of vvehicle the gait days. from
