Azelle Rodney Inquiry (2 May 2014)
The MPS asked the national lead for armed policing, DCC Simon Chesterman, to conduct a review of Operation Tayport in order to properly address the Chairman's first recommendation. Further, as a result of a request from the Chairman, AC Rowley commissioned Commander Basu to review Operation Tayport against the comments in Chapter 24 of the Report. Commander Basu has made a number of further recommendations alongside those made by Sir Christopher and DCC Chesterman. The review is now complete and has been sent to the Chairman for his consideration.
