The service should consider best practice guidance around supporting people living with dementia at meal times.
Should Do
Effective
The service was not decorated in a way which supported people living with dementia to orientate themselves around the building. Corridors were not decorated individually so people could recognise different areas of the service. People's bedroom doors were not decorated in a way which made it easier for people to identify which room was theirs. Signage could be improved to make key areas such as toilets, lounges and dining rooms easier to locate.
