Summary: Mrs C complains the Council inappropriately reduced her care package which resulted in her not having the support she needs. There is no fault in the actions of the Council. The Council completed a reassessment which included the views of both Mrs C, her husband, and professionals. We are unable to challenge a professional judgment where there is no procedural fault.

Summary: Mr B complained about the way the Council dealt with his housing application following a relationship breakdown. We found that the Council delayed in responding to Mr B’s application and review request, failed to advise him correctly in respect of his housing application, failed to assess his housing situation when he presented as homeless on two occasions in 2019 and failed to offer clear advice on progressing his housing application. Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about Council’s decision to refuse a personalised disabled parking bay application. There is not enough evidence of fault to warrant an investigation.

Summary: Ms B complained about the Council’s response when she approached them as homeless because she was at risk of domestic abuse. We found fault with the Council. The Council agreed actions to remedy the injustice to Ms B.

Summary: We will not investigate Mr X’s complaint about the layout of a road. This is because there is no evidence of fault by the Council and the injustice Mr X claims results from the actions of third parties and not the Council.

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about a Penalty Charge Notice. This is because it is reasonable to expect Mr Y to appeal to the London Tribunals.

Summary: Mr D complains the Council’s policy on land charges searches discriminates against disabled people. There was fault in complaint handling for which the Council should apologise. I have found no evidence of fault in the other parts of Mr D’s complaint.
