Summary: Mr X complained the Council allowed a landlord on his estate to subdivide upwards of 20 properties without planning permission and turn them into Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs). We did not find fault with the Council.

Summary: We will not investigate Mrs X’s complaint that the Council failed to ensure the developer of her property used the materials she says were required to comply with the planning permission for her property. This is because the injustice she claims is the result of the developer’s actions rather than those of the Council. Mrs X may wish to obtain legal advice about making a claim against the developer if she believes they have failed to provide what she has paid for.

Summary: Mr X complains the Council failed to take appropriate enforcement action regarding a breach of planning control by his neighbour. We found there was no fault, and this was a decision the Council were entitled to make.

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about parking permits. This is because there is insufficient injustice to justify our involvement. Also, as we are unable to deal with the substantive issue it is not a good use of public resources to investigate the Council’s handling of Mr Y’s complaint.

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint that the Council should not have issued a penalty charge notice for a parking contravention. The complainant had a right of appeal to a tribunal.
