Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about the Council’s refusal to provide exemption from council tax for Mr X’s property because he could appeal to a Valuation Tribunal.

Summary: Mrs X complains about the Council’s failure to take enforcement action against a neighbouring property. She says the Council’s actions have caused her significant distress. We do not find any fault with the Council’s actions.

Summary: Mr X complains about the Council’s planning policy and its handling of a neighbour’s planning application. We will not investigate the complaint because we are unlikely to find evidence of fault by the Council.

Summary: Mr X complains the Council hasn’t properly considered the terms and conditions of a Disabled Facilities Grant. The Council is not at fault.

Summary: Mr X complained about the way the Council handled planning applications and planning enforcement for a business near his home. He also complained about delays handling his complaint. Mr X said the business remained at the location longer than it should have, causing noise, nuisance, and congestion. Largely we do not find the Council at fault. However, we find the Council at fault for delays sending a complaint response. We are satisfied the Council has already apologised for this.

Summary: We will not investigate Mrs X’s complaint about the Council’s decision to refuse her application for a COVID-19 small business grant. This is because the complaint is late and I have seen no good reasons to exercise our discretion to investigate it.
