Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about the Council’s involvement with the complainant’s family. This is because the complaint is about matters considered and decided in court. It is therefore outside our jurisdiction. The actions of the Council’s staff cannot be separated from matters we have no jurisdiction to consider.

Summary: Mr S complains the Council repeatedly failed to provide his agreed assisted bin collections for over a year. We find the Council’s failure to make regular waste collections amount to fault, which has caused Mr S frustration and inconvenience. We have asked the Council to take action to improve its service and provided a remedy to Mr S.

Summary: Mr X complained the Council failed to determine an application to vary his section 106 planning agreement and that this has caused him significant losses. We ended our investigation because it is unlikely to result in a meaningful outcome.

Summary: We have ended our investigation into matters relating to the care of Mr and Mrs X’s grandchildren. This is because they have either been considered in Court or are late.

Summary: We will not investigate Mrs X’s complaint about the Council’s disposal of her belongings from a garage it repossessed without contacting her. This is because it would be reasonable for her to take the matter to court.

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about Council trucks parking in a disabled bay. The Council has confirmed it has directed staff not to park in disabled bays. Further investigation would not lead to a different outcome.

Summary: Miss X complained the Council repeatedly failed to collect her waste in line with an agreed assisted waste collection service between November 2020 and November 2021. This was despite a previous finding of fault by us in November 2020. The Council was at fault when it failed to make regular waste collections and in how it handled Miss X’s complaint about the matter. The Council agreed to pay Miss X £650 to recognise the frustration, distress and time and trouble caused to her and will monitor her collections for six months.

Summary: We have discontinued our investigation of this complaint, about the Council’s refusal to grant rates relief to the complainant’s business under the expanded retail discount. This is because the complaint is late.

Summary: We cannot investigate this complaint that the Council has refused to allow the removal of trees which are subject to tree preservation orders. This is because the complainant has used their right of appeal to the Planning Inspector.

the Council repeatedly failed to collect his waste and recycling. Mr B says this caused him inconvenience and frustration. The Council was at fault for failing to take action to resolve the problem with the waste collection route and not monitoring Mr B’s waste and recycling collections when it said it would do so. The Council will take action to remedy the injustice to Mr B.

Summary: Mr X complained the Council failed to collect his recycling several times over a period of twelve months. The Council provided reasonable expectations for why this occurred. I do not find fault with the Council.
