Mrs B and Mrs C say, as the tenant and landlord respectively, the Council has failed to consider the relevant circumstances when deciding to refuse Mrs C’s application for a vehicle crossover and dropped kerb at Mrs B’s address. Mrs B says this has caused her significant distress as she needs to park at her home because of her disabilities, and she would like the Council to consider the matter again or discuss possible solutions with her.

Summary: We will not investigate Ms B’s complaint about delays and poor communication with the Council regarding her mother’s, Mrs C’s, care charges. This is because we could not add to the Council’s response or make a different finding even if we investigated.

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about parking provision and highway restrictions. There is insufficient evidence of fault by the Council which would warrant an investigation.

Summary: Mrs Y complains about the failure of a care provider to ensure a sore on her mother’s leg was appropriately cleaned, dressed and treated. We find fault because there is no evidence to show the care provider properly assessed the sore or sought medical help. This fault creates distress and uncertainty for Mrs Y which the Council will remedy with an apology, a payment of £300 and some procedural improvements.
