Summary: We will not investigate Mrs X’s complaint about the Council not taking action against a neighbour feeding wildlife and how it investigated the matter. There is not enough evidence of Council fault to warrant us investigating. We cannot achieve the outcomes Mrs X seeks from the complaint.

We have not found fault with the actions of the Council.

This is because she used her right of appeal to the Planning Inspectorate to challenge the Council’s decision to refuse the application the losses relate to and if she disagreed with the Council’s decisions on any other applications it would have been reasonable for her to appeal. We will not investigate Mrs X’s remaining concerns as they fall outside our time limit for investigation, relate to matters which did not cause her

Summary: We will not investigate Mr X’s complaint about a Council officer making inappropriate comments in a letter to an MP. There is insufficient evidence of fault to justify our involvement.

Summary: We will not investigate Mrs X’s complaint that the Council has failed to provide her information under the Environmental Information Regulations. This is because it is better dealt with by the Information Commissioner's Office.

Summary: Mr B complains the Council has not enforced against a neighbouring development that does not comply with approved plans. He says this has led to a loss of outlook from his property. The Ombudsman does not find fault with the way the Council considered whether to take enforcement action.

Summary: We will not investigate Mr X’s complaint because parts of the complaint are late and there are no good reasons for us to investigate now. We will not investigate Mr X’s complaint about how the Council has consider the use of its planning enforcement powers as the development is subject to an appeal with the Planning Inspector. We cannot know what, if any, impact the actions of the Council have had on Mr X until the outcome of the appeal is known.
