Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about fault in adult social care. The Care Provider has accepted its error, apologised, and learned lessons. It is unlikely we would add anything further.

Summary: We will not investigate Mrs X’s complaint about the Care Provider’s handling of her mother’s care home fees because it has apologised and resolved the issue. Further investigation by us would therefore not be proportionate.

Summary: Mrs Z, on behalf of her mother Mrs x, complained the care provider failed to properly administer medication and failed to provide appropriate personal care. Mrs Z says this has caused distress and undermined her trust. The care provider accepts fault in respect of the administration of medication and some personal care issues, has apologised and taken action. The provides a proportionate and appropriate remedy for the injustice in this case.

Summary: Mr F complained that the care provider failed to provide proper care to his late mother, Mrs J, prior to her death. We found the care provider’s actions caused injustice to Mrs J and her family. The care provider should waive some of the fees to redress this injustice.

Summary: Mrs X complained the care home failed to provide adequate care for an illness her mother Mrs Y was suffering from, during her respite stay. Mrs X said Mrs Y suffered unnecessarily during her stay and subsequently died. We do not find fault with the care providers actions.
