Summary: We will not investigate Ms X’s complaint about the Council’s handling of her housing application. This is because there is insufficient evidence of fault.

Summary: Mr X and his neighbours complained the Council is at fault in how it considered a planning application for a development near their homes. We have found some fault by the Council. However, we do not consider this altered the outcome of the application or that it has caused an injustice to Mr X and his neighbours. We did not find evidence of fault in how it applied its Unacceptable Behaviour Policy to Mr X.

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint made by a parish council about the Council’s handling of a complaint about dust nuisance from a construction site. This is because the complaint does not meet the tests in our Assessment Code on how we decide which complaints to investigate. We cannot investigate complaints made by public bodies such as parish councils.

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about council tax liability. This is because it is reasonable to expect Mr Y to use his right to go to the Valuation Tribunal.

Summary: We cannot investigate this complaint that the Council lied about matters relating to a planning application. This is because the events happened too long ago, and the matter has been subject to appeals to the Planning Inspectorate and the courts.

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about how the Council dealt with a planning application. This is because we are unlikely to find fault.
