Summary: We will not investigate Mrs X’s complaint, made on behalf of Mrs Y, about how care home staff dealt with the loss of Mrs Y’s jewellery and changed her carer. Investigation of the jewellery matter would not add to the investigations by the Care Provider and the police nor lead to a different outcome. There is insufficient significant injustice caused by the Care Provider not reporting the jewellery loss to police to warrant us investigating. Summary: We will not investigate Mrs X’s complaint about how her late parents' Care Provider dealt with issues about outstanding charges. There is not enough evidence of fault in relation to the Care Provider’s handling of outstanding charges for Mrs X’s late father. There is also nothing more we could add to the Care Provider’s investigation and response to Mrs X’s complaint about how the Care Home Manager approached discussions with her about outstanding charges.

Summary: We will not investigate Miss X’s complaint about the care provision to her late mother Ms Y and how the care provider dealt with her complaint. An investigation by us would not add to the care provider’s investigation, nor result in a different outcome. There is insufficient unremedied injustice to Miss X to warrant an investigation. We cannot achieve the negligence finding she seeks. We do not investigate care providers’ complaint-handling where we are not investigating the core issues which gave rise to the complaint.

Summary: We will not investigate Ms X’s complaint about the actions of the Care Provider in relation to her late mother Mrs Y’s care at one of its homes. There is insufficient injustice to Ms X caused by the Care Provider’s actions to warrant us investigating, and investigation is unlikely to achieve a different outcome.
