Government are actively considering the need for new guidance or decision making tools relating to the development of renewable energy infrastructure on peatland. Offshore Wind 43. The concerns that we have heard from industry about the government’s proposed new guidance on inter-array wake effects in EN-3 suggest that this may not have provided the clarity that was intended. This may especially be the case in relation to whether projects might be expected to damage their own business cases when taking “all reasonable steps to minimise” wake effects “as far as possible”.
