We recommend that the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government use the English Housing Survey to routinely collect and publish national data on the quality of all types of temporary accommodation from 2027/28 onwards. (Recommendation, Paragraph 15) Hazards and disrepair

16. We agree with the need to continue to build our understanding of quality across types of temporary accommodation in order to address problems and ensure value for money. 17. We are investigating options to improve the information we collect on the quality of temporary accommodation, building on existing data collections including the English Housing Survey. We will write to the Committee in autumn to update them on this work.
