As much as we want to see progress, the Government must not rush out an inadequate strategy, which does not properly set out how it aligns and interacts with wider health sector reforms. A renewed Women’s Health Strategy must be carefully thought out and include clear and deliverable actions, accompanied by a comprehensive timetable for implementation and the necessary workforce and funding commitments.
