Sir Christopher Bellamy QC is considering the efficiency and transparency of the criminal legal aid market as part of his Independent Review into Criminal Legal Aid, including looking at how legal aid can be made responsive to user needs both now and in the future and administrative burdens for providers. We will address this issue in our response to his review and have committed to responding to the Review’s final report before the end of 2021.
