We repeat our recommendation from June 2025 that the Government prioritises legislation to put the Industrial Strategy Advisory Council on a statutory footing. Given the priority to maximise growth, we do not understand why the Government has not already given this body the powers it needs to deliver. (Recommendation, Paragraph 36)
