We recommend that the Government commission from Post Office Ltd a review of the criteria used for hubs and a plan to increase the number of the Post Office’s 11,500 branches that can provide banking services, to maximise 124 access across the UK. Analysis suggests that trebling the Government’s plans for 350 banking hubs would facilitate £178 million of extra services a year. (Recommendation, Paragraph 139)
