Based on analysis of comparator countries, the Government should set a more ambitious long-term goal for growing the financial capacity of the British Business Bank. As a priority, HM Treasury should publish a cost benefit analysis of quadrupling the funding for loan guarantee products offered by the British Business Bank, to determine the business case for expansion.
