The National Wealth Fund provides vital support to maturing UK companies, with its ability to make large investments into firms that need considerable funds to scale up their operations. This support, however, is focused on Industrial Strategy priority sectors, unlike the British Business Bank which aims to broaden access to finance across all firms.
