The ICO plans to publish guidance for employers on employee monitoring as part of their project to produce a suite of guidance to replace the 2011 Employers Code of Practice. This guidance will sit alongside the other updated guidance for employers on its website. The ICO published draft guidance on employee monitoring in October last year and launched a public consultation on this guidance, which closed in January this year. This will inform the final guidance, due to be published in October.
