Recommendation
The government should build on the success of the Hopwood Foundation’s heritage skills training programme at HMP Thorn Cross by supporting the expansion of similar schemes across prisons and further education sectors. Such programmes could help address critical shortages in traditional building and heritage trades while also improving employment outcomes. (Recommendation, Paragraph 85)
