The Government welcomes the Committee’s conclusion on identifying opportunities to convene national leaders across the AUKUS partnership. continues to underpin the AUKUS partnership. As clearly set out at the AUKUS Defence Ministerial Meeting in December 2025, the UK, US and Australia are united by a commitment to delivering the AUKUS partnership. President Trump has also been clear in his direction to move “full steam ahead” on AUKUS. the AUKUS Defence Ministerial Meeting in May 2026. Underpinning these statements of commitment, however, is tangible delivery. This includes the most recent announcement under Pillar I of the finalisation of arrangements for the establishment of Submarine Rotational Force-West (SRF-West) in 2027 and under Pillar II of the first Signature Project: developing cutting- edge payloads and enabling systems for AUKUS partners’ Uncrewed Undersea Vehicles (UUVs). The Government will continue to work closely with the US and Australia to identify opportunities to convene Leaders to ensure that our unwavering commitment to the AUKUS partnership is communicated and understood.
