The Government acknowledges the Committee’s conclusion and is acutely aware of the importance of workforce movement and trilateral work. Given the scale of the undertaking, AUKUS will present new challenges and opportunities for the UK to streamline our processes and enhance collaboration, while also protecting our security and capability advantage. Our survey through the UK Trade Associations has helped us identify barriers industry is facing and we continue to look for opportunities for any changes we can make to ensure the delivery of SSN-AUKUS. The AUKUS partnership involves a dedicated team of military and civilian personnel from the UK, as well as staff based in the US and Australia. We have significantly increased our overseas presence to enhance collaboration and strengthen engagement with our AUKUS partners, as well as working closely with Australia and the US as they further increase their footprint in the UK. Hundreds of individuals are actively contributing to the UK’s SSN- AUKUS programme and delivering advanced capabilities. Their efforts play a vital role in supporting the broader objectives of the AUKUS partnership.
