The proposal for an accredited registration scheme was supported by 70% of stakeholders. The Government accepts this recommendation in principal and has asked HSE to consult further with stakeholders on how such a scheme could be implemented, looking at various options from a formal accreditation scheme operated by a third party through to a charter of standards.
