The London Gas Undertakings (Regulations) Act 1939, should be given statutory authority, and extended to cover the whole country, and this obligation should be coupled with the duty of the area Gas Board to inspect, and to refuse supply of gas; and inspection should be carried out free of charge {paragraph 169}.
