A memorial to victims and survivors of historical institutional abuse was unveiled in Parliament Buildings on 20 February 2026. The memorial, located in the Great Hall of the Stormont Estate, was designed in consultation with victims and survivors through COSICA. It provides a permanent place of reflection and remembrance.

First Minister and Deputy First Minister confirmed support for memorial plaque at Parliament Buildings. Localised memorials at other locations also being considered in collaboration with the Arts Council, with victims and survivors' views central to design.
