Miss A complained about Aneurin Bevan University Health Board’s handling of the complaint she made to it in December 2024 regarding the care and treatment provided to her.

The Ombudsman found that there had been a delay in the Health Board responding to Miss A’s complaint which caused frustration to her. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without a formal investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to apologise for the delayed complaint response and to issue the complaint response within 4 weeks.
