Many government departments have roles to play in tackling housing affordability in this country. We support the cooperation we have seen to date between the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and HM Treasury, including in response to this inquiry, but tackling home affordability in the long-term requires a holistic approach by the whole of government.
