Reject. The Women and Equalities Committee’s role, as set out under Standing Order 152, to examine the “expenditure, administration and policy” of the GEO “and associated public bodies” already allows the Committee significant flexibility. Committees are able to interpret their remit within the broad terms of reference set out in their standing orders, as the Committee has already shown itself able to do through its work scrutinising the Equality Hub and other aspects of the Government’s equalities agenda.
