All claims must be issued a single reference number regardless of the “off-ramps and on-ramps” between paper and digital systems. (Recommendation, Paragraph 137)

HMCTS is updating the Reform systems so that users are provided with the case reference numbers applicable for each case regardless of off-ramps and onramps. This will provide staff and end users a clearer method of associating the correct documents with a case.
