As it is nearing completion, we reluctantly conclude that Post Office Ltd should continue to administer all remaining HSS claims for the £75,000 fixed-sum that were received prior to the 31 January 2026 deadline. All remaining complex HSS cases should be transferred to DBT to be assessed. The Department should move swiftly to establish to this and ensure the process is properly resourced.
