The Government shares the Committee’s ambition to ensure that children and young people have safe, accessible spaces for play and physical activity. We are supportive of removing unnecessary “No Ball Games” signs to increase spaces that are more accessible for children and young people subject to local circumstances. Ultimately, this is a decision for Local Authorities. This work is in line with our commitment to place-based working and we will update the Committee on any further steps.
