HIA Redress Board has been operational since March 2020, processing applications and making compensation payments. Board received 4,870 applications with 4,449 final determinations as of December 2024.

The Redress Board was established under the Historical Institutional Abuse (Northern Ireland) Act 2019. The Board will continue to operate until all outstanding applications have been determined. Panels have made award determinations totalling £99,244,250 (£98,109,425 payable after actuarial adjustments).
