Recommendation
The Inquiry Panel recommends that the PSNI reviews the role of supervisory officers and the requirement to monitor notebook entries on a regular basis and, on a random basis, compare entries with statements of evidence.
Context
The recommendations chapter was prepared in 2011. The report states that no further evidence for this chapter was received after 2011 and that some recommendations may have been overtaken by the time of publication in September 2026. Implementation has not been assessed by this import.
