The government agrees to provide an update to the Committee on PFI expiry challenges and how it will address them by Summer 2021. The government accepted the recommendation for the Treasury and IPA to write to the Committee by Summer 2021, outlining their PFI support plan, responsibilities, and access processes. However, decisions on additional funding for authorities were deferred to the forthcoming 2021 Spending Review.
